Coral Reefs and Culture

You'll fly to Johannesburg, before taking a light-aircraft flight on to Pemba. Here you’ll be greeted by Ibo Island Lodge, and then it’s a 3 hour car journey to the shoreline to begin your island hopping adventure. Stress well and truly forgotten (and watches most likely thrown overboard), you’ll spend 3 days relaxing on your dhow as it makes its way to the secluded, palm-fringed islands that make up the Quirimbas Archipelago. Having enjoyed some fantastic snorkelling and canoeing through crystal clear waters, lunch on deserted sandbanks and exploring sleepy fishing villages, you’ll return to your domed tent set up by camp staff on the beach each night. 

After 3 nights camping and stargazing, you’ll have 3 more nights of luxury back at Ibo Island Lodge. This is your chance to soak up the unique culture of the Quirimbas Archipelago, with white-washed ruins and tales of 18th century pirates. At the end of this romantic honeymoon, you'll take a  light aircraft flight to Pemba, before flying home from Johannesburg.
