Hotel Overview

Sense of Place

Mombo Camp is in the Mombo Concession, on the northern tip of Chief's Island in Moremi Game Reserve.

Rooms at Mombo Camp

The camp has just nine spacious luxurious tents, all raised off the ground to make the most of the views. More suite than tent, they are really very large and not at all what you’d expect from a tent – each has a separate lounge area, indoor and outdoor showers and a copper and brass bathtub, as well as a large veranda overlooking the plains and a private plunge pool.

Food & Drink

You expect the best, and you’ll get the best here. The main dining area at Mombo Camp sits prettily under thatch and there is an open-air boma for dinners under the stars.

Facilities

After a day of wildlife spotting, cool off in the pool, unwind with a massage and relax around the boma at sunset.

Activities at Mombo Camp

Morning and afternoon guided game drives in open 4x4 vehicles take you out onto the savannah and floodplains. This is exciting stuff, with prolific sightings of lions, leopards, cheetahs, wild dogs, elephants, spotted hyenas, southern giraffes, blue wildebeest, Burchell's zebras and large buffalo herds – to name a few. You can also learn about the rhino conservation project at Mombo.
