Where

The Halong Violet is boarded at Halong Bay Passenger Wharf, Halong City approximately 180 kilometres from Hanoi.

Rooms aboard the Halong Violet

The Halong Violet has only six cabins: four suites on the upper deck and two deluxe suites on the main deck. Each suite is spacious and airy, with air-conditioning and a private balcony – and is appointed to the highest possible standards: think king-sized four poster beds, furniture created from exotic woods and fine fabrics and elegant marble bathrooms. All rooms come with a personal butler.

Food and facilities

The Halong Violet’s beautifully decorated and intimate dining area serves brunch, informal lunches and formal dinners. Freshly caught fish and the finest Vietnamese cuisine are lovingly prepared and can be accompanied with a drink from the restaurant’s exceptional drinks menu. Unwinding on the deck with a glass of chilled champagne as the sun sinks slowly into Halong Bay is simply a must.

Activities on the Halong Violet

The Halong Violet has its own library, family room, gymnasium, spa and massage facilities. Tai Chi classes are available each morning, and kayaks and reed rafts are available for use in the bay.

In the know

Vietnamese legend has it that Halong Bay’s incredible rock formations were caused by a great dragon descending from the mountains and into the sea.
