Activities at The Chedi Chiang Mai

Chiang Mai is one of those places that travellers are just itching to go, and it’s no surprise they rave about it when they come home. At the heart of Chiang Mai is an incredible 14th century monastery, surrounded by an ancient moat, and dotted with wonderfully ornate ‘wats’ (temples). Truly dedicated travellers will think nothing of climbing the 300 steps up to Wat Phra That Doi Suthep (the most sacred temple in the North), or visiting the mountain cave-dwellers and ‘long-neck’ village tribe. After all that trekking the last thing you’ll want to do is walk, so it’s a good job there are tricycles to take you round the Bo Sang markets! Here you can pick up one of the hand-crafted paper parasols which have become a symbol of Chiang Mai.

In the know

For an unforgettable tree-top adventure, ask us about the 'Flight of the Gibbon' zipline tour. Just an hour out of central Chiang Mai, you can "fly" over the pristine rainforest canopy on a series of zip-wires - it doesn't get much more exhilarating than that!
