Glamorous campers, Aman fans, and nature enthusiasts.
On the Flores island nature reserve of Moyo, East of Bali, Amanwana is in a secluded cove that overlooks the Flores Sea.
Glampers cannot fail to love the 20 tents at Amanwana, some just a few skips from the sea, and others hiding deep in the jungle. Each tent has a solid decking base, wooden walls, and a lofty canvas canopy that forms the roof. Enveloped in this magical shelter – air-conditioned, with spacious bathrooms and romantic voile-draped beds – you can hear the rustle of leaves, the chattering of wildlife, or the rhythmic lapping of waves if you choose one of the Ocean tents. Glamping at Amanwana means the perfect balance between wilderness and luxury.
Enjoy Asian and Western cuisine on Amanwana’s alfresco dining pavilion, or continue the glamping experience with dinner round the campfire on the beach. Starlight dinners can also be arranged on Amanwana’s private cruiser Amanikhan (just one of the vessels in their private fleet). Aside from unforgettable dining experiences, there is an open-air forest sanctuary where guests can lie back and listen to music on the ipod dock.
The island of Moyo is a playground for nature enthusiasts, home to a deer sanctuary and a vast array of wildlife including macaques, wild-boar, sea-eagles and osprey. You may just want to head out on your own, exploring the specially laid out nature trails, but we can also arrange expeditions with the knowledgeable guides. Visit the nature reserve’s Bat Cave, swim in magnificent tropical waterfalls, or charter one of Amanwana’s boats to Comodo Island, and see the famous dragons. For real water-babies Amanwana couldn’t be better placed for snorkelling and diving, with many of the best diving sites just 10 minutes away.
Diving is always an other-worldy experience, but even more so when you do it by night. Amanwana’s PADI certified diving instructors can arrange a night dive to the thriving 40 foot reef wall just opposite the beach. By day you can spot turtles, moray eels, and reef sharks: who knows what will come out to play when darkness falls...
