South American explorers with a taste for luxury.
In Recoleta, Buenos Aires’s most sought-after address.
There are 165 rooms in total at Palacio Duhau, 23 of which are located in the former palace, while the remainder are located in the modern Posadas building. Whether you want to be in the Posadas building overlooking the palace or vice-versa, we’ll leave entirely up to you. In both buildings, rooms are decorated in soft, muted tones, with spacious bathrooms and plenty of light. Every detail has been considered from plush king beds to flat screen televisions, generous bath tubs and rain showers. Our pick is the Park Suite in the Posadas building for enormous living space and fabulous palace views.
The Duhau restaurant offers sophisticated Argentine cuisine and there’s al fresco dining available on the terraces of the Gioia restaurant. Los Salones del Piano Nobile is a great spot for afternoon tea and there are two bars for evening drinks. The 750sqm spa is impressive (especially for a hotel in the heart of Recoleta) and the large indoor pool is another plus.
The shopping, restaurants and sightseeing of Buenos Aires are right on your doorstep. Book an Exsus guide to get you under the skin of the city, take in a tango show or try your hand at polo on a day out in the pampas.
An underground walkway connects the palace to the modern building and is home to an impressive array of paintings and sculptures by local and Latin American artists. Take your time as you walk on by.
