Getting back to nature – with the fabulous city of Salta on your doorstep.
15 minutes outside the city of Salta, northwest Argentina.
The 100-years-old house is home to seven superior and deluxe rooms, simply but beautifully decorated in a soft, calming palette. There are three junior suites in a separate house a short walk from the main building that offer larger living space with televisions, air-conditioning and a more luxurious feel. Finally, a lovely two bedroom house with large lounge is the perfect spot for families.
The food is a real treat at House of Jasmines, giving you a chance to sample high quality dishes from the region, all made in-house from mainly home-grown produce with a daily changing menu. There’s no formal restaurant so you can eat wherever you like (although most tend to choose the beautiful winter garden), lending the hotel a real home from home atmosphere. The heated outdoor pool is a plus, while the spa is fantastic for a hotel of this size, with sauna and steam room as well as lovely treatment rooms for massages at the end of a day walking in the Andes.
Enjoy the best of both worlds with Salta within easy striking distance and the foothills of the Andes on your doorstep for outdoor pursuits. House of Jasmines has bikes you can borrow free of charge and a nearby farm rents horses for rides in the surrounding countryside. In the summer months, the hotel holds special Argentine barbecues, wine tasting and live music evenings.
The rooms in the main house are cosy but on the small size and without air-con so go for a junior suite, especially in summer.
