Bon viveurs and boutique hotel fans with a taste for the sparkling side of life!
Chacras de Coria, Luján de Cuyo, 18 kilometres from Mendoza city, Argentina.
Casa Margot has just two guest rooms in its luxury guesthouse, created by the sculptor Eliana Molinelli. Both have high arched ceilings like a champagne cellar, flagstone floor and rustic iron bedsteads, with French doors opening onto the gardens. Both rooms are equipped with a dressing room, digital safe boxes, satellite television, private bathrooms, heating/air conditioning. The Celedonio Suite has an upstairs study with deep armchairs and stunning views, while the Grisel suite has an open fireplace for chilly winter nights.
Romantic types can organize an ‘I love you’ night of sushi and jazz while reclining on cushions in the loft, or alternatively opt for an asado Argentino (typical argentine barbecue) in the garden quincho (pavilion), accompanied by Maula Malbec Oak wine. The hotel’s Margot Deli Bistró serves gourmet Argentinian cuisine with matched wines, accompanied by the strains of a grand piano.
Casa Margot also has a day spa offering massage, lymphatic drainage, reflexology, four handed massage, and Thai massage along with the signature red wine facial. Champagne is served every evening along with a theatrical performance about the secrets of the sparkling stuff.
Private tango classes, talks and malbec wine tasting lessons to get to know this deep red wine, along with tours and tastings in the champagnerie.
More work by Eliana Molinelli, popular sculptor from Mendoza who designed Casa Margot, can be found in the Killka Museum at the nearby Salentein Winery and in the Independence Square of Mendoza city.
