Couples, families and small groups looking to explore the Amazon rainforest in luxury and comfort.
Hamadryade Lodge is located in Tena, in the middle of the Ecuadorian Amazon jungle and is built on the site of an old gold mine (no trees were felled to make way for the build).
Hamadryade Lodge has five luxurious bungalows with views of the Napo river and/or the jungle. Whilst all bungalows are fully equipped with iPod/CD alarm clock, Italian linen, large stone showers which use rainwater and ecological and biodegradable amenities, there’s no getting away from the fact you are staying in the midst of tropical rainforest – an incredible experience.
The restaurant at Hamadryade Lodge is only open to guests staying at the hotel, and enjoys a great view over the swimming pool, Napo river and surrounding jungle. Food is a fusion of international and local dishes and there’s always a great selection of Chilean and Argentinean wine from which to choose.
Adventurous types and nature lovers will be in seventh heaven staying at Hamadryade Lodge: there’s white water rafting, canoeing and kayaking on some of the most pristine river waters in the world, jungle walks, trips to waterfalls and rainforest lagoons, fishing – and visits to local Kichwa and Waorani communities with which the lodge works very closel
Families should go for the deluxe bungalow which can take up to six people.
