Nature lovers and romantics, seeking peace and relaxation in a spectacular natural setting. Children under 8 are not allowed.
Hidden Canopy is situated on the mountainside five minutes drive from the naturalist mecca that is the Monteverde Cloud Forest.
There are four spectacular treehouses at canopy level with floor to ceiling windows (don’t be surprised if you open your curtains to a curious toucan, monkey or sloth). One of the treehouses, Neverland can sleep up to 5, and all are furnished with custom made wooden furniture and showcase local artists work.
Breakfast and afternoon tea are prepared in the open plan kitchen in the main house (still home to the owners) and served on the open air terraces or dining room. Your hosts can recommend local restaurants for dinner or alternatively you can have food delivered to your room. Upstairs there is a living room with a library of books and DVDs. Emphasis is on the home-from-home experience, so there’s a no-shoe policy.
It’s all about the resplendent Quetzal here, so join a guided birding tour in the Santa Elena and Monteverde Reserve; follow one of the many trails through the forest on horseback or along a suspended walkways; visit the local cheese farm; take local coffee or sugar cane tours; or join a guided expedition into the forest to learn more about the abundance of local wildlife.
Ever dreamt of flying through the air? The adrenalin-fuelled and aptly named 100% Aventura zipline adventure experience is just minutes away from the hotel.
