Cocoa Island is 40 minutes by speedboat from Male airport, Maldives.
Cocoa Island has just 33 suites and villas, all over the water and some in the typical Maldivian style Dhoni boats. Villas come with private butler service (free with the two-bedroom villas, charged in the one-bedroom villas), WiFi high-speed Internet access and ipod docking stations.
You can eat like a castaway using the in-room dining service, or at Ufaa restaurant, located beside the infinity pool and sea. The island is tiny (you can walk around it in 10 minutes) and is surrounded by a spectacular house reef making Cocoa Island one of the best choices for snorkelling and diving enthusiasts. Alternatively join the complimentary Yoga class at sundown from 5 to 6pm daily (except Mondays), or enjoy a treatment in the legendary COMO Shambhala Retreat. If you prefer to keep to the water, then try some of the water sports off the beach, like windsurfing or catamaran sailing. Deep-sea fishing, beach drop-offs, dolphin and sunset cruises, cookery lessons or guided snorkelling trips are also available.
The sunset fishing trips are one of our favourites, where you can catch your fish and have the chef prepare it for you for dinner!
