Those looking for somewhere truly private – the island is only accessible by private plane.
The best spot on Mustique, one of the most exclusive private islands in the world.
20 rooms, cottages and suites all with muslin draped four-poster beds; a pillow menu and some have private plunge pools. The Cotton Hill Residence, with panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean is rather special, with a private swimming pool, two luxurious bedroom suites and a dedicated butler.
Dining is either beach side in the Beach Café or at the Verandah Restaurant. The Cotton House Spa offers a range of massages and treatments to stimulate and restore. In addition there are two tennis courts, gym, water-sports and a swimming pool.
Beach hop around the island’s nine beaches, do a day trip to one of the neighbouring Grenadine islands (snorkelling trips to the Tobago cays are a must) or practise your swing at the demanding 18-hole golf course at Raffles Canouan. Try inshore and deep-sea fishing, or keep fit on the island’s 2.2-mile fitness trail.
Basil’s Bar is a must for evening cocktails. During high season the Wednesday night “Jump-Up” is the local hot spot with live entertainment and barbeque.
