This 37 square mile island is, on the whole, busier and more developed than its neighbour - quaint, relaxed St Barths - but with names such as ‘the Gourmet capital of the Caribbean’ still attracts the foodie crowd. You’ll also find plenty of watersports with surfing, windsurfing and sailing all an option.
Stay at St Martin’s most luxurious hotel, La Samanna, close to the French capital Marigot for blissful seclusion and (of course) to-die-for cuisine.
