The capital of Grenada is a pretty harbour town with 18th century architecture, narrow winding streets and impressive forts. Well worth a visit.
Check out the area north of the capital where you’ll discover some of the traditonal spice plantations. Nutmeg, ginger, cloves, cinnamon and vanilla are just a few of the exotic spices grown here; one third of the world’s nutmeg supply comes from this tiny island!
The 3km long Great Anse beach is the most impressive on Grenada and is a starting point for many diving trips to nearby islands and reefs. Stay at the the family run Spice Island Beach Resort, a luxury hotel set right on the sands of Great Anse. Flights are direct and this welcoming hotel is a mere ten minute transfer from the airport.
Hidden in Grenada’s mountainous interior, is the Grand Etang National Park, where hiking trails meander around the dazzling Grand Etang lake, an extinct volcanic crater.
