There are four open air en-suite bedrooms, with beautiful views across the river. The living room is knockout - all the furniture has been carved from a single fallen winterthorn tree.

The food is fantastic and the chef and house manager let you decide what you wish to eat for the duration of your stay! There's a great outdoor pool on the river's edge, where you can watch the elephants having a drink along the river's edge.

Activities at Chongwe River House

All activities are exclusive to the house guests with private vehicles, guides and armed scouts for the walking safaris. You’re in perfect tiger fishing country here – take the boat for an exciting afternoon tackling one of Africa’s best fighting fish.  Alternatively, you can just drift down the river, beer in hand, and marvel at the birds. Walking safaris and game drives are also on the agenda, and for the restless, take a canoe trip alongside splashing elephants.
