Overlooking the famous Virunga volcanoes and Great Rift Valley in the Bwindi National Park, Uganda, close to the starting area for gorilla tracking.
The eight stone cottages have loft-like interiors with high-beamed ceilings, a lounge area and a cosy fireplace. A private butler and housekeeper provide hot-water bottles and keep the fireplace lit during chilly mountain nights.

Gorilla trekking! The trek can take anything from half an hour to seven hours so a good level of fitness is required as well as a sturdy pair of walking shoes! Guests can also go on forest walks with Batwa pygmy guides, go bird watching and visit lodge-managed community projects.
Cottages three and four have the best views of the volcanoes. It can rain heavily at any time of year, so make sure to pack some waterproofs!
