Rooms at Nottens Bush Camp

The eight huge suites at Nottens Bush Camp have open-plan bedrooms and en-suite bathrooms that include indoor and outdoor showers (the latter win on atmosphere every time, but can be a bit chilly in the winter months!) Each suite has its own deck with views out over the surrounding bush. At night, electric lights are replaced by the flicker of paraffin lamps and candles and all the rooms are cooled with an overhead ceiling fan.

Food and facilities

Meals at Nottens are a jolly affair, eaten communally so guests can discuss the adventures of the day. The day starts with a traditional bush breakfast, followed by a scrumptious high tea/lunch, served in the early afternoon, and finishing with a three-course dinner, often eaten in the open-air boma. The lodge also has a 20-metre swimming pool and a spa.

Activities at Nottens Bush Camp

The main activities at Notten Bush Camp are morning and evening game drives in an open sided Land Rover, accompanied by your enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide. The Sabi Sands has one of the highest concentrations of game in Africa, with all Big Five species abundant, along with over 500 bird species. The lodge can also organize game walks and birdwatching.

In the know

The Sabi Sands is one of the best places in the world for spotting leopards in the wild: make sure you have your binoculars at the ready!
