A superb safari experience with the comfort and romance of an exclusive lodge.
Almost invisible to the eye on approach, Elsa’s Kopje lies within Kenya’s untouched Meru National Park, blending into the rocky crags of the “kopje” (small hill), above the site of George Adamson’s original home.
Eight spacious cottages, one Honeymoon Suite, spread over three levels, and a Private House complete with its own private swimming pool. Each of the open-fronted cottages is unique, incorporating the natural features of the rocky hillside, with boulders for walls and trees growing through the roof.
The talented team of cooks at Elsa's Kopja combine fresh ingredients and professional experience to create an abundance of mouth-watering dishes. The lodge also has an infinity swimming pool built into the natural rocks and massage room where you can enjoy a treatment with panoramic views over the wilderness.
Whilst the two daily game drives are the main highlight, Elsa's Kopje also offers guided bush walks, bush meals and sundowners, cultural visits, day excursions to the Tana River and the opportunity to go line fishing for catfish and barbel.
Don’t leave Meru without visiting its enormous 44km² rhino sanctuary, home to over 40 white rhino and 20 black rhino. The size of the sanctuary ensures a feeling of a natural wilderness, and finding the rhino is still a safari challenge!
