Dave Osborne

USA, Canada & European Travel Expert

Dave's insatiable love of exploring has seen him travelling the length and breadth of the USA and Canada. His standout experiences in this part of the world include seeing Central Park on horseback in New York - which is easily combinable with his favourite city: Toronto. Further north is another one of his top destinations - the Blue Mountains - which is a fantastic place for families.

A USA road trip is on many people's bucket lists, and for good reason: this vast country is home to some of the world's most scenic and memorable driving routes. Dave also has a soft spot for Florida's tropical landscapes and palm tree-lined beaches, as well as the glitz and glamour of inimitable Las Vegas.

He has spent vast amounts of time in Europe, including living and working in Spain and Portugal, where one of his favourite experiences has been dining at a Michelin-starred restaurant overlooking the Douro River in Porto. Among the many other countries in Europe he loves are Croatia, for its historic towns and beautiful islands, and Sweden, for its pristine Arctic wildernesses.

From staying at the iconic ICEHOTEL in Sweden to embarking on luxurious cruises around the USA, Canada and Alaska, Dave will turn your bucket list into reality.

My Top Tips

Stay at the lavish Ritz-Carlton Toronto

In the Entertainment District, a stone's throw from the Roy Thomson Hall, the CN Tower and leading theatres, the Ritz-Carlton Toronto offers stylish rooms and suites and a 450-piece art collection.

Hop between palatial retreats in Andalucia

For a positively regal getaway, I always recommend a stay in Andalucia. You can't forgo a visit to the iconic Alhambra of course but sunny Seville also beckons, where you can stay at the opulent Hotel Alfonso XIII.

Travel by seaplane across British Columbia

Soar over the spectacular forests and creeks of British Columbia in a seaplane and feel the thrill of swooping down from the sky and skimming across the surface of a lake. This is an exciting way to explore the natural beauty of Canada from the air and from the water - and getting your adrenaline fix.

Go rafting on the Torne River in Sweden

My favourite travel memory is rafting down the tumultuous waters of the Torne River – a thrilling escape which ends with a blissful lunch of freshly-caught fish around an open fire on Puonojokk Island.
