The final leg of your journey sees you heading back to the province of Buenos Aires, to the rural Pampas lowlands. You’ll spend two nights at La Bamba de Areco, a luxurious boutique hotel on a traditional estancia dating back to the 1830s. You can also watch polo matches during the high season. The nearby town of San Antonio de Areco is a centre for gaucho culture – don’t miss the chance to meet some of them over a few yerba mates at a local pulperia.
