2 nightsBOGOTA

Begin your adventure with a flight to Bogota, Colombia’s reborn capital. Bogota is fast ascending the list of hot new global destinations, and with good reason. Jumping salsa bars, trendy restaurants and a charming historic centre make this a great introduction to the country. Your base for two nights is the elegant, colonial Hotel de la Opera. Start your day with a guided tour of the city’s historic heart and a visit to the Gold Museum, which provides a fascinating insight into indigenous spirituality alongside dazzling gold artefacts.

3 nightsZONA CAFETERA

In the afternoon, fly to Pereira to begin your stay at the magical Hacienda San José where you'll spend three nights. It’s the perfect rustic charming base for exploring the Zona Cafetera on foot, on horseback or by bike, relaxing and enjoying hearty regional cuisine, and, of course, amazing coffee.

3 nightsTAYRONA NATIONAL PARK

Next we fly you from Pereira via Bogota to Santa Marta, the nearest airport to Tayrona National Park. Tayrona is a spectacular landscape of rolling rainforested hills, tumbled boulders and endless white beaches, pounded by the rolling breakers of the Caribbean. Stay three nights at the park’s only luxury accommodation – the rustic but charming huts of Ecohabs, complete with private beaches and seaside casitas for swinging in your hammock.

3 nightsCARTAGENA

Finally we drive you from Tayrona to Cartagena (approx 4-5 hours), the jewel of the Caribbean coast. This stunning walled city with its narrow streets and brightly painted houses is even more enchanting at night: illuminated by lamplight, and with horse drawn carriages clopping through the cobbled squares. Here you'll spend three nights at the quaint colonial hotel, La Passion - a wonderful retreat after a day of hustle and bustle. For a beach fix, jump on a speedboat to the gorgeous Rosario islands. At the end of your Colombia Highlights holiday, we fly you back home.
