2 nightsMEXICO CITY

Your family adventure begins in the country’s capital, Mexico City. With its mixture of colonial architecture, pre-Hispanic ruins, and fantastic food, this is the perfect place to ease yourself in to your Mexican adventure. You’ll spend two nights at the Four Seasons, a luxurious contemporary hotel with an unbeatable location on the Paseo de la Reforma. Attractions nearby include Chapultepec Park, the biggest city park in Latin America, which is home to forests, lakes and walking trails as well as several museums. These include the fantastic National Museum of Anthropology, one of the finest of its kind in the world, where you can learn all about the country’s fascinating pre-Columbian heritage.

4 nightsSAMAHIL

Your next stop sees you flying to Merida, a beautiful colonial city in the Yucatan peninsula, where you’ll stay for four nights at the nearby Hacienda Tamchen. Parts of the hotel date from the 17^th century, and this historic character is combined with the comfort of a modern luxury hotel. Your time here will see you exploring the various historic and natural attractions in the surrounding area. The nearby Hacienda Yaxcopoil, once one of the most important estates in Yucatan, is now a museum offering a fascinating glimpse into the region’s pre-Columbian and Spanish colonial history. At the Celestun Biosphere Reserve, you can explore mangrove swamps home to thousands of colourful flamingos, and nearby Coba is one of the largest Mayan ruin sites in the region.

7 nightsSIAN KA’AN

The final leg of your journey sees you spending a week at Sian Ka’an, a wildlife-rich biosphere reserve on Mexico’s Caribbean coast. You’ll stay at Casa Nalum, a beautiful collection of luxurious beachfront villas surrounded by peaceful beaches and lagoons; offshore, a rich coral reef system awaits scuba divers and snorkelers. This is a great place for nature lovers of all ages; guided wildlife excursions into the reserve will give you the chance to spot howler monkeys, iguanas, toucans and jaguars to name just a few. Kayaking and snorkelling equipment are on offer at the hotel, and your villa is the perfect place to come back to after a day’s exploration: you’ll even have a private cook to whip you up a range of international dishes.
