Hotel Overview

On the edge of Sirince village, just 12 kilometres from Ephesus.

Rooms at Gullu Konaklari

Two buildings, the Mansion and Gülistan, house 12 airy rooms that differ from the next in theme and decoration. Choose from rooms with vistas of Sirince’s rolling hills, with balconies or private terraces, and old-fashioned stoves or fireplaces: all are decorated with colourful, patterned throws. You can also stay in the Gullu Konaklari Cottage, 1.5 kilometres from the hotel and set amidst vineyards, olive groves and lavender fields.

Food and facilities

The hotel’s restaurant is all wooden beams, gilded candlestick holders and neutral tones – though shots of colour and artistry create a warm atmosphere. The outdoor terrace is sublime with all the fragrant flowers, and views are sweeping and romantic. Expect all your Turkish meals to be made from locally-sourced produce – they are simply delicious.

Activities at Gullu Konaklari

Naturally, Ephesus will be your first port of call. These ancient Greek ruins with 10,000 years of history will no doubt leave you wide-eyed.  Opt for a guided nature walk or cycling tour to pass through the vineyards and olive groves surrounding Sirince: the hotel will arrange this for you. Gullu Konaklari do their olive picking in the winter months, and you can join them in their harvest. Pick up Turkish handicrafts, rugs, hand-made linens and jewellery at Sirince’s shops and stalls, dotted throughout the village.
