Hotel Overview

In Karaköy, once the financial district of Istanbul and now fast becoming the coolest part of town. The Galata Bridge is a few blocks from the hotel, and beyond that are the hot attractions of Istanbul like the Grand Bazaar.

Rooms at Vault Karaköy, The House Hotel

Stylish and polished with a chic design, the 62 guestrooms span nine floors of this renovated bank. Five of these are suites; in the Penthouse suite, the free-standing bath has its own room with glass windows, looking out over the sprawling city below.

Food and facilities

Feast on Mediterranean fare in Kasa Lokanta, popular with guests and locals alike for its contemporary take on classic Turkish cuisine. The Gold Bar serves drinks from a bank vault behind the bar, and you can nip down to the vault to select a bottle from the wine cellar. Then there’s the sumptuous spa with its hammam, sure to entice you at the end of a long day sight-seeing and shopping.

Activities at Vault Karaköy, The House Hotel

For culture vultures, there’s much to discover in Karaköy, like the art gallery and cultural centre next door to the hotel, Salt Galata – also housed in an old bank. There are plenty of other galleries nearby, including Elipsis, Galeri Mana, artSümer and Istanbul’74. If you’re after Istanbul’s big attractions, it’s only 20 minutes down the road across the Galata Bridge to the Old Quarter.
