You’ll also get to go and see it up close on a rail excursion to the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise, the highest cable car station in Europe.

Today your journey on the Glacier Express will have you marvelling at dreamy Swiss scenery as you head towards the quaint town of Andermatt. The panoramic windows, extending into the ceiling, offer fantastic views. You’ll spend the night at the ultra-luxurious The Chedi, which oozes chalet chic with an east-Asian flair – it might seem incongruous, but it definitely works. Make the most of your stay by going for a swim in the 35-metre pool, and dine at one of the many exciting eateries here.

Hop on the Glacier Express once again and relish a three-course lunch as you glide through gorgeous Swiss scenery. The glamorous mountain resort town of St Moritz is an idyllic last stop on your luxury Swiss holiday, and with the Engadin Mountain rail pass you’ll be able to explore the picturesque area, including Corviglia, Corvatsch, Muottas Muragl and Diavolezza.

Revel in the bucolic splendour of St Moritz at your hotel, Badrutt’s Palace, whose waterfront setting is simply sublime.
