Hotel Overview

Nestling in the picturesque green hills of rural Umbria, near the Tuscan borders, Palazzo Terranova is easily accessible from Perugia, Florence or Rome.

Rooms at Palazzo Terranova

Palazzo Terranova has just eight bedrooms which overlook the hills, and each one is named after operas and composers. Decorated in warm pastel colours, the rooms feature attractive ceiling beams and terracotta floors, and are uniquely furnished with crafted antiques, frescoes and iron beds. There are spacious ensuite bathrooms, some containing stone bathtubs. The two charming private villas are perfect to share with family or friends.

Food and facilities

The mouthwatering seasonal cuisine is best enjoyed with a glass of locally produced Umbrian wine at Palazzo Terranova’s gourmet restaurant. Alternatively, dine al fresco on the outside terrace and admire the stunning views across the hills and valley. By day, relax by the infinity pool, surrounded by landscaped gardens filled with sweet-smelling lavender. There is also a gym for working out in and spa to relax in. Come the evening, enjoy an aperitif by candlelight among the lemon trees or at the hotel’s bar.

Activities at Palazzo Terranova

Choose from cooking classes, winery tours and tastings, fine hillside walks, hot air ballooning or drives to pretty hillside towns, seemingly untouched by time. Go horse riding or find your artistic side with watercolour painting classes.
