Touch down in Sydney. Your base here is Thala Beach Lodge/Nature Reserve, which sits on a private peninsula south of the town, overlooking the sea – perfect for a sunset cocktail or two.

Finish your Australia adventure in style by flying to Orpheus Island in the heart of the Great Barrier Reef, a secluded hideaway which has its own luxury resort and national park, and offers spectacular views over the Coral Sea. Take a picnic out on a boat around hidden coves and beaches, and go snorkelling and diving to discover the rich marine life of the reef.
