Hotel Overview

The Amanikan is a chartered boat and therefore can travel both the Komodo and Raja Ampat routes, depending on your preference.

Rooms on board the Amanikan

The Amanikan is a 105-foot motor powered cruiser handmade from local hardwoods by master craftsmen of the Konjo tribe in Sulawesi and Surabay. The elegant interiors are a fusion of traditional spice-trading vessel aesthetics and modern comfort. The master cabin occupies the stern on the upper deck with 270-degree views through the stunning wraparound windows and from a large private sundeck. This room has a king-size bed and en suite bathroom. The other two cabins are located on the main deck and have queen-size beds with a scenic lookout.

Food & drink

You’ll be spoilt for choice on the Amanikan, with a menu that offers a range of Asian and Western dishes created by your own chef and tailored to your preferences. It goes without saying that everything you would expect is on board, from an outdoor galley to an outdoor BBQ for cooking the catch of the day. Dine by moonlight on the deck and during the day relax in your lounge or go diving with complete ease.

The crew of 10 includes a personal chef, dive master, captain, cruise manager, waiter and housekeeper - if space allows, you can even have a therapist or wellness specialist join the expedition.

The main lounge area is built into the bow, making it perfect for leisurely afternoons sunbathing, socializing or sleeping under the starts, while the foredeck features the bar and outdoor dining area.

Activities on board the Amanikan

A cruise on the Amanikan is an idyllic way to discover the marine areas of the archipelago, which is one of the world’s most exceptional. See the notorious Komodo dragons in their natural habitat on Komodo Island or visit Raja Ampat, also known as ‘The Four Kings’. Covering the area where the Pacific and Indian Ocean meet, it’s packed full of magnificent coral reefs and a whole host of marine life which makes for a distinctive scuba diving experience.
