When it comes to luxury holiday destinations, the Seychelles has long been a firm favourite, thanks to perfect white sand beaches that are among the world’s most beautiful, fringed by gently swaying palm trees and luxurious beachfront hotels. But did you know the Seychelles is also a haven for wildlife and has a UNESCO world heritage-listed national park full of natural wonders? Our Indian Ocean expert Raquel has recently returned from these idyllic islands, and tells us more.
Stay at...

Constance Lemuria. It’s hard to pick just one hotel in the Seychelles, as you are so spoilt for choice, but I love this one, especially for its VIP welcome. Staff line the entrance in a welcome party, greeting you personally with a bow and fresh flowers: you’re treated like a celebrity and as though you’re the only person staying there. This stylish hotel sits on a peninsula, and you can take advantage of spectacular ocean vistas as you enjoy a gourmet lunch. From yoga to tennis and golf, there’s something for everyone here, and on the nearby beach of Anse Georgette, you can watch sea turtles crawling up the sand to lay their eggs.

You’ll also come across the towering palms of the world’s largest nut, the famous and rare coco de mer (above). You may find yourself enclosed in the vast tropical forest here, peeking at the sky through the lush green foliage. Explore further and do some island hopping on our sailing holiday, which is ideal for families.
