Hotel Overview

Sense of Place

The Pangkor Laut Resort is the only resort on the private island of Pangkor Laut, which lies three miles off Malaysia's coastline, along the Straits of Malacca. Seriously romantic, this idyllic resort is the place to be for picture-perfect beach views and blissful seclusion, surrounded by tropical landscapes.

Rooms at Pangkor Laut Resort

The gorgeous villas have a traditional Malaysian feel, and are huge and lavishly furnished, with oversized bathtubs and large private verandas to take in the magnificent views over the bay. Some are nestled in the rainforest, but our favourite are the Sea Villas, which are one of just a handful of water villas in Malaysia that sit right above the sea.

If you really want to splash out there are also ultra-secluded estates which have their own butler for an extra touch of VIP luxury.

Food & Drink

Dining at Pangkor Laut Resort is really special, and not least for the beautiful locations. For something really authentic, there’s Uncle Lim's Kitchen, an exceptional Chinese restaurant which is built on a rocky outcrop overlooking the sea and serves traditional Nyonya and Hockchew cuisine. You can also enjoy fresh seafood prepared in the show kitchens at Fisherman's Cove, with other options including light Japanese bites amongst the collection of bars and restaurants.

For irresistible evening cocktails, head to the chill-out lounge by the pool.

Facilities

After a busy day's exploring, relax in style in the resort's beautiful and award-winning Spa Village, which offers a range of authentic treatments which are guaranteed to leave you feeling totally revived and rejuvenated.

Activities at Pangkor Laut Resort

Emerald Bay is just as beautiful as it sounds, so this is where you’ll probably want to spend most of the day, just relaxing and snorkelling in the beautiful waters. If you want to be a little more active, there are plenty of water sports including kayaking, wake-boarding and catamaran sailing, or you can trek into the rainforest in search of resident macaques and yellow-billed hornbills.

There’s also Pangkor Island, just a speedboat ride away, where you’ll see Dutch colonial architecture, temples and colourful fishing boats.
