The Six Senses Qing Cheng is located 1.5 hours from Chengdu's downtown, at the foot of the Qing Cheng mountains and blends seamlessly with Dujiangyan, a water irrigation system from the 3rd century BC and UNESCO World Heritage & Natural Cultural site.

ROOMS AT Six Senses Qing Cheng Mountain

Light and minimalist, the white-on-white suites with a pop of green and yellow feel fresh and vibrant. With a double bed, plenty of storage and a seating area, there is plenty of room to spread out. The Deluxe suites are a generous 850 square feet, with a private balcony or courtyard veranda which has outdoor daybed for lying back and taking in the stunning scenery. The bathroom has a garden-view tub and a rain shower.

FOOD & DRINK

With three restaurants on site offering regional and international cuisines, you’ll be spoilt for choice. The 28Zodiac restaurant serves a selection of Sichuan and Cantonese dishes, comprising of 12 individual dining salons for private family dinners and celebrations.

Sala Thai serves exquisite Thai cuisine while Farm2Fork has a casual atmosphere, serving a mix of Western and regional dishes and semi-buffets.  The meals are made using organic produce from the gardens on site. There are also two bars, a traditional tea house and a snack and dessert house.

ACTIVITIES AT Six Senses Qing Cheng Mountain

The area around Six Senses Qing Cheng Mountain is home to China’s favourite resident: the panda. Where better to meet these bamboo-munching folk than a 10-minute drive away at Panda Valley? Afterwards explore the little villages found in the mountains of the Tibetan plateau in Sichuan, as well as exploring the famous Dujiangyan irrigation system nearby.

Go river-rafting at Hongkou and trek to Mount Emei to see the world’s largest stone-carved Buddha in Leshan. In between expeditions, find your inner peace with some soul-soothing tai chi lessons back at the hotel.
