Maison Polanka is set in beautiful gardens in the heart of the Old Town of Siem Reap, near the river, in the shadows of the ancient Angkor temples.

The stylish suites are set across two authentic Khmer-style wooden villas, set in the lush gardens, and each one has its own theme. The interiors feature traditional crafts and paintings and photographs from the owners' private collection.

Stay at the Khmer House, a wooden enclave set on stilts with an elevated veranda, its design fusing traditional elements with contemporary style, or choose the nature-inspired Garden Cottage, nestled in the trees.

Cuisine is a fundamental part of the experience at Maison Polanka, with expert chefs serving delicious a la carte menus of traditional Cambodian dishes, alongside western classics, with ingredients from the gardens and local markets.

Meals can be taken at a time to suit you. We recommend the afternoon tea, picnics near the temples and candlelit dinners, while guests can also enjoy cooking classes, visiting markets for fresh ingredients and learning how to make local favourites.

Have a swim in the inviting pool, enjoy an early-morning run in the temple complex or an evening yoga session, or unwind with a massage after a day exploring the ancient temples of Angkor.

Borrow one of Maison Polanka’s complimentary vintage bicycles to explore. The Angkor Archaeological Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, spans 400 square kilometres and is easily accessible from the hotel. The temples located within the park, including the distinguished Angkor Wat, are truly fascinating, with some dating back to the 12th century.

Aside from the Angkor temples, don’t miss the chance to experience the local arts and crafts by visiting artisan workshops or taking in a show at Phare Ponleu Selpak, a Cambodian arts association offering nightly circus events and festivities, with proceeds aiding the local community. Inspired by a spirited revival of Khmer culture, Phare Ponleu Selpak has been gradually expanding, attracting performers and artists from across Southeast Asia.
