Emma Chaplin | London

Emma, our Latin America aficionado, is Product Manager for our tailor-made itineraries to Latin America, and loves off the beaten track destinations.  Her love affair with travel began while at university when she backpacked around Latin America during her uni holidays.  Her seven years at Exsus have taken her across the globe, from diving with turtles in the British Virgin Islands and the Galapagos, cruising the Antarctic Peninsula to flying over the eerie Skeleten Coast in Namibia; to name but a few.  Having conquered most of Latin America, Africa is next on the agenda.

Likes… parmesan cheese.

Dislikes… rush hour on the tube.

Most recent trip… a fleeting visit to Brazil to see Copacabana Palace, Rio, and Das Cataratas, by the Iguassu Falls.

Favourite hotel… although I am not normally a beach babe, it has to be Las Ventanas in Mexico, for pure indulgence.

I remember the time when… I spent a 4 hour bumpy truck ride in Bolivia with a small child on my knee sitting on top of hay bales and sacks of food with all the locals and an enormous bull, alive and kicking. Quite literally.

Hot tip… Antarctica, for spectacular scenery and amazing wildlife.

Where to next… Mexico, Cuba and sunny California.
