Masai Mara Migration | Kenya | 13 nights

Safari-virgins take note: Kenya is everything you expect a safari to be. Vast open savannahs, fantastic game viewing, ancient tribal cultures, luxurious tented camps. Finish on the beach for a text-book East African experience.

Perfect for… first-timers looking for the classic East African safari experience.

When to go… don’t miss the migration July to October for huge travelling herds – and their predators.

Consider…migration in the Masai Mara is extremely popular, so book early.

  • We fly you into Nairobi and straight out again by light aircraft to the famed Masai Mara, home to an unrivalled concentration of African wildlife. Spend four nights in one of the excellent luxury safari camps (we love Naibor or Il Moran but all are fab) and if you’re heading there in August or September, prepare for one of the most incredible wildlife experience on earth: migration.
  • From the Mara, it's another short flight by private charter, this time to the very edge of spectacular Lake Natron on the Tanzanian border. For three nights you will stay in one of the best safari properties Kenya has to offer, Shompole. During your stay, you'll visit the fabulous lake, home to flamingoes and to the mysterious desert rose.
  • From Shompole we then fly you back to Nairobi and directly on to the glorious beaches of Lamu, for four nights of utter relaxation on pristine Indian Ocean sands - and some of the best diving and snorkeling in the world.
  • After the beach, we'll fly you back to Nairobi in time for your return flights home.
