Hotel Saratoga | Havana | Cuba
Cuba’s only five star hotel, the Saratoga successfully combines old world glamour and style with modern day comforts such as a spa, gym, luxurious rooms and suites and a fabulous roof top pool.
Perfect for… all Exsus explorers – this is the only hotel we recommend in the city.
Where… a great location on the edge of Havana’s historic quarter close to the elegant (and strangely familiar…) Capitol building.
And the rooms… the 96 rooms and suites are light, bright and tastefully decorated with comfortable beds (some canopied), crisp linen and roomy bathrooms. Deluxe Patio rooms face the inner courtyard but its well worth upgrading to a Junior Suite for views over the Capitol building and beyond, or splash out on one of the wonderful suites for even more light through floor-to-ceiling windows, balconies and generous bathtubs.
Food & facilities… the Moorish-styled Anacona restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, while the sleek lobby bar is a great spot for a daiquiri before hitting Havana by night. The rooftop pool is a real plus and a good place to sip another cocktail with views over the city. The jetlag-busting spa and gym keep you in tip top condition and the excellent concierge is a great place to start to get the best out of the city.
Activities… you’re in Havana so you won’t be short of things to do. Spend a day with a guide to show you the sights, take a salsa lesson, hit the museums and the cigar factory but most of all save some time for mooching through those atmospheric streets and soak up it all up.
In the know… want to hit the beach? Give Cuba’s all-inclusives a miss and hop on a 50-minute flight over to Mexico for classy boutique hotels and Mayan heritage.
