Banyan Tree Seychelles | Mahe | Seychelles
Delightful, private, one bedroom villas with generous pools make the Banyan Tree Seychelles a top pick for couples and honeymooners, while the excellent spa will send you home feeling simply wonderful.
Perfect for… couples looking for privacy; spa bunnies in need of some pampering.
Where… nestled in Intendance Bay on the island of Mahe, the largest in the Seychelles, just 10 minutes from the international airport.
And the rooms… just 37 villas dotted on the rainforest-clad hillside or down on the beach, all built in an elegant, colonial style with private terraces, fabulous bathrooms and their own private pools. Don’t want to leave your room? Take the Beachfront Spa Pool Villa complete with its own massage pavillion, whirl pool and steam room. Families and friends have the option of a wonderful Two Bedroom DoublePool Villa located just steps away from the beach.
Food and facilities… Banyan Tree Seychelles offers a variety of dining options with three restaurants and a snack lounge – not bad at all for a hotel of this size. There’s Au Jardin D’Epices, an international restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner to beautiful sea views; Saffron, a fabulous Thai restaurant; Chez Lamar serving up delicious Creole cuisine and La Varangue, a stylish lounge bar offering light snacks and some great cocktails. After all that excellent food, you can relax and recharge at the spa with massages, facials and body treatments designed to send you home completely rejuvenated. For sporty types, there’s a tennis court and gym and all will enjoy the beautiful infinity edge pool.
Activities… the Banyan Lagoon I, a 47-foot twin-hulled catamaran, is available for sailing excursions to other islands, dive sites and overnight cruises. The hotel can also charter a fishing vessel for you to try your hand at catching sailfish, marlin, tuna, giant barracuda and much more.
In the know… the beach at Banyan Tree is a joy to behold but the water is rough and at certain times of year swimming is not advisable.
