|  |  | | Nisbet Plantation Beach Club |  | Nisbet Plantation is an intimate and peaceful plantation house hotel on the charming island of Nevis, a short flight away from Antigua. Set in 30 acres of tropical gardens, it was built in 1778 on a sugar plantation and at one time was home to Fanny Nisbet, the wife of Lord Nelson.
There are 38 elegant guestrooms in pretty plantation style cottages and suites, dotted around the sweeping lawns of the Avenue of the Palms, which leads down to the white sandy beach. Food here is excellent, from the informal beach restaurant, to the elegant dining in the Great House restaurant in the evening. There is also a large pool, tennis court, croquet lawn, plus the nearby botanical gardens.
