| | | | Jumby Bay | | Two miles off the coast of Antigua, Jumby Bay is set on a 300-acre private island. There are 39 suites and 11 two or three bedroom villas perfect for families. There are also stunning private houses with up to six bedrooms with full use of the resort’s facilities.
A naturalist’s haven, the island features three superb beaches. One of them, Pasture Bay Beach, is home to endangered species of turtles, rare birds and even sheep. The resort, which was recently refurbished, blends smoothly into its natural environment with all the buildings nestling among the stately palm trees and tropical flowers.
Accessible only by boat, the resort is fully inclusive with delicious food served in the two restaurants. The romantic Estate House, where dinner is served, is a lovely 230-year-old English plantation house. Tennis, watersports including waterskiing, sailing and bikes are available.
