| | | | Elsa's Kopje | | Elsa's Kopje is a haven of understated luxury situated in Meru National Park. Wildlife in the park includes lion, leopard, kudu and huge elephant herds together with a amazing variety of birdlife.
This fantastic lodge, named after Elsa, the lioness made famous by George and Joy Adamson in the film Born Free, is perched on the hillside on the site of George Adamson's first camp. There are fabulous views of the park from the nine stone and thatch cottages. Each is incredibly romantic with hand crafted four poster beds swathed in mosquito nets, oversized stone bathrooms and a private butler. Paved paths, lit by lamps at night, lead from each cottage to the comfortable open bar, lounge and dining room. The ultimate ‘pool with a view’ looks out across the plains, perfect for relaxing after a game drive or guided walk in the bush.
