| | | | Bellagio | | Nominated for numerous awards, the Bellagio has more than 3000 rooms towering above an eight-acre lake and faux Italian village, with impressive details and touches that evoke a sense of style rarely found elsewhere in Las Vegas. For starters, the hotel lobby is unlike any other in town. Complete with a multi-coloured chandelier made of more than 2000 individual pieces (each valued at $20,000 each), it also includes a blown-glass flower sculpture on the ceiling (said to be the largest of its kind in the world), natural lighting and plenty of places to sit.
There are six swimming pools, two heated year-round and two with fountains, which are set in an elegant neoclassical garden with ivy-covered archways, tall pines and bonsais, with Italian opera piped in via the sound system. The rooms feature European-style art and furnishings; Italian marble bathrooms have deep soaking tubs and plush robes.
