|  | | | Abu Camp | | Sitting on top of a mighty elephant not only offers magnificent views, but also allows you to mingle with the animals as one of them. You can enjoy this breathtaking experience at the luxurious Abu Camp on the western side of the Okavango Delta. The camp, nestled in an ancient forest, consists of five elegantly furnished en suite tents, each with a private deck. There’s an elegant bar and dining area where fabulous meals are served and sundowners are enjoyed around a traditional campfire.
On the safari, you sit in large padded saddles behind experienced elephant handlers. Other activities include game drives and drifting in dug out canoes. All the elephants used at Abu Camp are rescued from captivity or from hunters and are eventually reintroduced into the wild.
