    LIMA
    Fly into Lima, where you spend one night at the Miraflores Park hotel.

    CUZCO
    The next day, hop on a short one-hour flight over to Cuzco, a vibrant town jam-packed with fascinating history and culture. After checking in at the divine Monasterio hotel for a three-night stay, our local guide will take you on a stroll so you can get your bearings. The following day sees you heading off into the mountains for an exhilarating white-water rafting trip and a visit to Pisac market to haggle with the locals over alpaca jumpers and woolly hats. The Inca exploration starts the next day with a stay spent visiting some of the many amazing Inca sites just outside Cuzco, including the impressive Sacsayhuaman fortress. Then it’s back to town for dinner and another night at the Monasterio.

    SACRED VALLEY OF THE INCAS
    Day five sees you waving the Monasterio goodbye and heading into the Sacred Valley of the Incas, where you’ll spend two nights at Rio Sagrado, a luxury hotel integrated into the beautiful landscape to resemble an authentic Andean Village. Our local guides take you off for a day of canoeing and sight-seeing in the local area. The next day you hit the mountains again, this time by bike, and visit the fantastic Moray Inca ruins. In the afternoon, our guide takes you to the Maras Salt Pans – ancient Inca salt mines that have survived centuries and one of the Sacred Valley’s highlights.

    MACHU PICCHU
    Now for Machu Picchu. You board the train in the morning to take you to the village of Aguascalientes. From here it’s a short and winding bus ride up the mountain to Machu Picchu, where our guide will show you around. Spend the night at gorgeous Inkaterra Machu Picchu back in Aguascalientes.

    CUZCO
    The following day, you have the day free before taking the late afternoon train back to Cuzco. Check in to your old favourite, the Monasterio hotel for the final two nights. Your final day in Cuzco is free to explore or take it easy at your hotel ready for tomorrow’s early start to Lake Titicaca.

    LAKE TITICACA
    Boarding the Orient Express train in the morning, the full day journey takes you through the Andes to Lake Titicaca, where you check into the Titilaka on the shores of the lake. Your last day in Peru takes you onto the lake for a visit to the fascinating Uros islands, made entirely from reeds, and then onto Taquile Island to visit the local community and see their excellent textile art and handicrafts.

    LIMA
    The following morning, you are transferred to the airport in time for a short flight to Lima, where you connect with your return flights home.
