The best time to travel is May to October; December to March can be wetter but the only month we’d recommend avoiding is February.

LIMA - 1 night
Your Highlights of Peru Luxury Holiday kicks off with a flight into Lima, Peru’s capital city. Here, you'll spend a night at the Second Home Guesthouse before beginning your adventure.

THE SACRED VALLEY - 3 nights
Next we fly you from Lima to Cuzco where you’ll be transferred for a three night stay at Sol and Luna in the spectacular Sacred Valley. Activity lovers can max out on day treks, rafting and biking; alternatively use the opportunity to relax and acclimatise slowly, exploring colourful local markets and the nearby Maras salt pans.

INCA TRAIL TREK - 3 nights
Your Inca trail guides will collect you early in the morning and drive you past an impressive Inca fortress to the beginning of the trail. Camping for 3 nights, you’ll pass the last scattering of settlements in the highlands, dip into the orchid-filled Cloud Forest, before reaching the mind-blowing Machu Picchu.

MACHU PICCHU - 1 night
Now for a two hour train ride to the town of Aguas Calientes where you'll stay at cosy El Mapi hotel. Here you can either relax after your trek, or head back to Machu Picchu for a more in depth tour.

CUZCO - 3 nights
The following day, you’ll take the four hour train journey back from Machu Picchu to Cuzco where you’ll be free to wander through the beautiful colonial streets of this original Inca city. Your base for two nights will be the Aranwa Cusco Boutique hotel.

PERUVIAN AMAZON – 3 nights
Now for a rainforest experience, and an incredible finale to your Peruvian adventure. Having flown to Puerto Maldonado you’ll be transferred to the city’s port and taken downriver in a dug-out canoe to Inkaterra Reserva Amazonica. Surrounded by Amazon jungle, and a cacophony of wildlife, your stay here will be totally different from the rest of your trip. To make the most of your three nights, we recommend the nocturnal jungle trek (giant spiders, bats, and night-frogs included!)

LIMA - 1 night
Fly from Puerto Maldonado to Lima and enjoy a hot shower and night's rest at the Second Home Guest House. The next day you'll connect with your international flights home: mind still buzzing from your 16 day Peruvian adventure.
