Lovers of wildlife and nature who want to experience the beauty of the Galapagos from the ground as opposed to taking a Galapagos cruise. Alternatively Galapagos Safari Camp makes a great add-on before or after a cruise.
Galapagos Safari Camp is set on a ridgeline in the highlands of Santa Cruz Island, close the tortoise reserve and has magnificent views across to the Pacific Ocean beyond.
There are nine luxury tents at Galapagos Safari Camp, located just below the central lodge. Set above the ground on a wooden platform, each tent is perfectly sheltered from both sun and rain and all are comfortable and spacious. Specially designed furniture is practical yet comfortable and bedroom areas are complimented by bathrooms with power showers. Tents also have large balconies from which you can absorb the enchanting landscape from your very own hammock. Sofa beds are available for children under 12.
The stylish central lodge has a large veranda from which you can enjoy sweeping views of the islands scattered along the horizon. Interiors are open plan with a log fire and offer plenty of space for relaxation. The dining room sits on a level above and the creative chef serves up a wonderful selection of local and international dishes using home-grown produce. A lovely infinity pool also provides great views.
At Galapagos Safari Camp, guests can choose from a range of itineraries and safaris including land and sea excursions, trips into the rainforest or to neighbouring islands and diving safaris. Guests can also enjoy walks, bike rides, kayaking and horse trekking.
Exsus recommends you choose what you want to do before you arrive as some of the activities get booked up early.
