Honeymooning couples or adventurous families.
Cala Mia is located in the Chiriqui archipelago on Panama’s Pacific coast.
11 beautiful thatched roofed bungalows sit within 10 metres of the beach, each featuring handcrafted furniture and artwork made by local crafstman and artists. The terrace outside is perfect for wiling away lazy afternoons and fresh evening breezes keep the rooms cool. There’s no a/c and each bungalow is 100% solar powered making Cala Mia a good green option.
Cala Mia says it has the best kitchen in Chiriqui and we’re inclined to agree. Most of the fresh food comes from the hotel’s own organic farm is prepared with flair and a Mediterranean emphasis. There’s a lovely infinity pool and treatments are available across a hanging bridge in the hotel’s spa. Cala Mia also has their own boat for day trips and sea kayaks and snorkeling gear are available to use free of charge.
When you’re not simply relaxing on the stunning beaches, there’s plenty to do from horse riding, boat tours, surfing, scuba diving and deep sea fishing. The bird watching from the pool deck is great, too!
Nature lovers take note: Cala Mia is much more than a great beach! You’ll find monkeys, dolphins, turtles and tropical birds in abundance.
