HACIENDA SAN JOSE - 2 nights
Fly into Merida via Mexico City or the US, where you will pick up a hire car and take a short drive to your first hacienda, Hacienda San Jose, for two nights. During your stay, take the opportunity to visit the ruins of Chichen Itza (one of the 'new seven wonders of the world') and the colourful village of Izamal.

HACIENDA TEMOZON - 2 nights
Day three sees you back on the road to your next hacienda, Hacienda Temozon. This palatial hacienda is the grandest of the all, jam-packed with history from its Spanish-colonial past. Spend the next two days exploring the beautiful ruins of Uxmal and Celestun National Park or snorkel in one of the nearby Cenotes.

RIVIERA MAYA - 5 nights
After you've hacienda hopped, you can enjoy the independence of driving on to the coast at a pace/time that suits you (journey usually takes approximately 3-4 hours), before checking in at Esencia, a former home to an Italian Duchess and one of our favourite boutique Mexican hideaways on the Riveriera Maya. Here you can relax for five nights in chic luxury and style whilst swimming, snorkelling and diving in the crystal clear waters. Bliss.
