Exsus has known and loved Tanzania for 10 years. We’ve lived there, we’ve bought mangoes in the market, climbed Kilimanjaro and roamed far across the savannah. For such a special country, we don’t want to show you it at anything less than its best. Enjoy some of the finest game viewing and most breathtaking landscapes that Tanzania has to offer with this, our ultimate Tanzanian experience.

Anyone who wants to see the best of Tanzania.
Any time between June and December, though the game’s at its best in September/October.
If you want to end this magical adventure with some R and R, add on a few days at Mozambique’s Vamizi Island Lodge.
1
NORTHERN SERENGETI
Fly overnight into Dar es Salaam, and connect on to your light aircraft flight to Sayari, in the untamed north of Serengeti. Spend three to five days here, in one of the most beautiful and remote areas of the park. Look out for fluffy young cheetah cubs tumbling down termite mounds and vast herds of elephant loping across the savannah. For the ultimate game viewing, try visiting in July or October for a chance to catch the annual visit of the million-strong wildebeest migration.
2
LAKE TANGANYIKA
After your stay in the Serengeti take the long flight west to Lake Tanganyika. Flying towards the mist covered Mahale Mountains, you’ll as if you’re arriving at the end of the world. Catch a dhow down the lake to Greystoke looking out for hippos in the clear waters below, and listening for the hoots of chimpanzees in the forest. Three or four days is the perfect amount of time to spend here. Swim in the lake, fish for fresh sashimi and watch shooting stars blaze through the skies.
3
RUAHA
Catch a light aircraft hop from Mahale to the Ruaha, for some truly rewarding game viewing. This is Tanzania’s frontier country: wild, packed with game and with adventure lurking behind every baobab tree. Stay three nights at Mwagusi in the heart of the park’s best game viewing area.
4
SELOUS GAME RESERVE
End your trip with three to five days in the Selous. Take a boat out on the lakes to look for hippos, stretch your legs with an early morning bush walk, or for something truly special, spend a night out under the stars. Try two of our favourite Selous camps, Beho Beho and Sand Rivers.
5
DAR ES SALAAM
As dawn rises over the bush, catch a private charter back to Dar es Salaam. Fly back to London and arrive in time for early evening cocktails.
