Rooms at Gibbs Farm

All 20 en-suite cottages at Gibbs Farm have been lovingly restored in keeping with the original design of the main farm building. Traditional features and indigenous artworks effortlessly combine with the more recent addition of larger windows and private verandas, bringing the beauty of the Ngorongoro Forest into full view.

Food and facilities

All ingredients used in the farm’s healthy and hearty meals are sourced from the estate gardens. Menus are dictated by the seasons ensuring that only the freshest dishes make it to your dining table. Guests are invited to inspect the vegetable gardens for themselves, and watch as the coffee is roasted ready for the breakfast table.

Activities at Gibbs Farm

With a World Heritage site just down the road, it’d be churlish not to mention game drives in the Ngorongoro Crater. However, there’s far more than just safari on offer. Wander the streets and markets of Karatu with a local guide, visit the children at Tloma Primary School, take a walk into the forest or simply hop on bike and explore the rural hillside at your own pace.
