Two hours east of Cape Town. The spectacular drive takes you close to the tip of Africa, passing stunning mountain ranges, forests and spectacular seascapes along the way, ending at Walker Bay.

Rooms at Grootbos

There are two eco-friendly lodges at Grootbos to choose from: the Garden Lodge, suited to families, with one or two bedrooms, a sitting room, bathroom and outdoor deck and the Forest Lodge, with a more contemporary feel, ideally suited to couples.
 
Food and facilities

Local ingredients, home-grown vegetables and freshly caught fish are used to create exciting and innovative menus.  Children are extremely well catered for at Grootbos with tonnes of exciting eco-adventures and activities. There's also a swimming pool at each of the lodges.

There is so much to do here! Explore this natural wonderland on foot, by 4x4 vehicle, on horseback or by boat. Walk through ancient Milkwood forests and let the guides introduce you to the wonders of the South African Fynbos.
