Adventurers of any age.
On a 5,000 acre private ranch in the wilds of Northern Kenya.
Rooms at Ol Malo are split between the main lodge and the house (which can be taken privately for groups), but all have marvelous views. They blend effortlessly into the hillside with rocky walls, thatched roofs, wooden floors and amazing twisted and gnarled wooden furniture.
Meals are all part of the fun at Ol Malo – dinners by the fire, barbeques under the stars and surprise breakfasts in the middle of the bush. When you’re back at the ranch, there’s a lovely swimming pool, and endless views out over the conservancy.
Guests who stay at Ol Malo are swept along by the boundless enthusiasm of the Francombe family for this area. With all of the freedom of a private conservancy, you really can do whatever you like. It’s the sort of place where you’ll all bundle into the landrover, see a few elephants, scramble up a rock for sundowners, and camp under the stars. You might stop in a passing cave to tell ghost stories, ride camels across the plains, or whizz down the river on a rubber tube. There’s mountain biking and horse riding and fishing and game walks and visits to the Samburu people who are the Francombe’s neighbors. A wonderful adventure.
Be sure to try a Tusker during your stay – the Kenyans are justifiably proud of their national beer!
